    Hi

Thought I'd post here as opposed to the Critique section as I'm not looking for any critique (although it's always welcome!), but just thought you would like to see the sort of subjects I enjoy photographing.

They were taken at my 'second home' - The Hawk Conservancy Trust in Hampshire:

This is Chaucer the Lanner Falcon - small and fast:

And this is Sirius the Striated (or Falkland Island) Caracara:

I also like wildlife/macro/close up photography, and will post something from that category soon.

    Thanks for looking

That is a gorgeous bird in flight well captured, was it intentional to keep the safeline in the frame as I think it would be better cloned out.
Is it your job with these birds or just a visit to a display?

            Re: First Images

            Thanks all

The falcon is wearing telemetry - they put it on certain display birds who have been known to wander off, and they put it on all the falcons (lanner, peregrine and saker), particularly because they are allowed a little 'free time' before being called into the lure. The eagles they fly not only wear telemetry but jesses as well, so it's quite difficult to get a photo without these things being in the picture. If I'm feeling adventurous I'll clone them out, but I'm not always 100% successful in this - so I tend to leave well alone .

No, I don't work with the birds, but my daughter volunteers there and I am a member, so I go there quite a lot!

Lovely pair of images, my favourite is the first even though you can see the telemetry due to the beautiful feather detail
