This past weekend Maggie and I went up to a local Scottish Festival about an hours drive away. The primary reason being (other than Maggie's Scottish pride) was to assist her sister Sarah in a new business venture, that of selling vintage and antique Scottish jewelry. Maggie and I went up the day before to set up the canopies and the plan was then for the two of them to run the booth and I could wander about and take photographs. Well, best laid plans... I severly messed up a problem knee and was limited in my walking and the booth was VERY busy (a good thing) so my activity was somewhat limited to short walks and only standing shots as if I bent my knee I would have terrible pain on restraightening it. But I think that I did get quite a few good shots none the less.
There are many here...
Hope you enjoy,
Jeff
This one may have been better if I could have been on the other side but that was reserved for the "Honor Clans". However with most of the competitors being right handed, the release always occurred with them facing me. A competitor in the youth division.

This competitor in the Sheath Toss has hooked his kilt in the fork and is about to lose it.

The "Honor Band" at this year's festival.
