At The Festival

Hi All,

The Festivale de Menez Hom is held every year around August 15th, is very popular, and very busy because of the tourist influx. This can make it hard to take decent pictures that don't include the head or the hand of a portable phone user! This year however I went along with prints of some of the pictures that I took last year, and spent a little time trying to find the people in the pictures. That really improved things, enabling me to approach the performers in their quieter moments, and they were very happy to get their pictures. Apparently they usually only get to see themselves in the newspapers. I also have some requests for shots from this year, and made some new friends.

I hope that it won't bore anyone, but here is a small collection of quick jpegs from the 300 or so I took this year.

Lovely set of shots Roger, I enjoyed looking at them. You have really managed to capture the atmosphere and the people. A really colourful occasion.

I thought it odd that in the first shot the faces look somewhat 'warm' whilst in the second shot they are rather 'grey'. Is this a WB issue?

You are quite right Stephen, the colours are awful, but I don't know what happened during the posting. On my machine the tones are just as they should be, so I either messed something up with posting them, or the zip process has lost something. It's the first time I have tried zipping a series for uploading so maybe it is that.
