Had a week away in France at the end of July to visit my son, who has moved from Blois to near Tours. Managed to clock up 1300 miles in a week (partly due to having to drop my daughter off at Gatwick on the way down to Dover, and then popping over to a gig in Cambridgeshire the day after we got back).
I hadn't been to Tours before - my son lives in a small town just over the other side of the Loire river.
Looking back to Saint Cyr from the Pont Wilson bridge over the Loire:

The cathedral is almost impossible to capture, apart from on this bridge, as it's so built up around it, so here's a shot of the interior:
And why aren't our markets more like this?
