  • Fairy Lights

Well Xmas is almost upon us & for a fair amount of people in Melbourne it's time to dress up the outside of their houses & gardens with Xmas lights & decorations for others to come & see! I decided to attempt night photography last night & with trusty tripod & camera went to shoot closest 'best dressed house' The owners came out for a chat & even switched the lights to static for me to capture them better! I have since printed a pic for them & they were really chuffed! No flash used!

That's interesting because it looks like they only used plain white lights? It's supposed to be the trendy fashion when choosing lights for the tree these days.

Ian, I guess a number of the lights were plain white, as the man who owns the home constructs the decorations himself out of hundreds of little globes...very creative! However, I'm sure its not just my monitor, but there are red, green & blue globes visible! The original photo had a redish cast to it, so perhaps a bit of the colour was lost in the details!
