Aaaaah she's a sweetie and such a good little poser.

One thing I especially like about the picci is the way the sand ripples and the clouds draw together to home in on her head then everything follows down to the point at the bottom of the leash (?) ... or is that something she's carrying in her mouth - maybe something she found and is playing with?

All in all a super picture imo and nice use of a WA.

Yep, I'd agree, though if you could have pulled back that sky it would have improved the overall picture IMO.

I personally love my wideangle, a Canon17-40 f4L. I find it gives me many more creative possibilities than a long zoom. I'm surprised often by peoples desire for really long lenses. People always want to pull things in that are far away. Well that's OK if its wild life and such like. But I feel there are less creative possibilities with long lenses than with wide angles, in fact with a long lens on the camera there are just too many opportunities missed for my liking.

        Thanks Polly,

That's a bit of seaweed in her mouth :-)

Typical, I should've guessed. She looks a tad worried somebody might try to take it from her.
