Re: Male Swan
Absolutely gorgeous Pops. I would be thrilled to death with these if they were mine.

Re: Male Swan
A swan with full detail, something I struggle with. I must try and master RAW or buy some filters.
Three very nice shots.
--------------------------------------------
The swans who live in the pond next door have lost out having cygnets. A lady who was walking her two dogs (off leads/leash) along the canal had no control over the dogs when they leapt in the water and attacked the hen removing most of her wing feathers last week. The swan was taken away and as yet we have not had any news as to her condition. The male currently mopes.
The hen had been sitting on her eggs for some 4+ weeks and we understand the eggs went missing after the attack.
Then to cap it all, we both saw a dead duck in the canal yesterday and were told by a narrow boat owner that he had been drowned (the duck that is) by another after a dispute!
Nature can be so loving and so cruel.
Regards. Barr1e

Re: Male Swan
Poor thing would mope! Swans mate for life! People allowing their dogs off leashes near local fauna, should be fined heavily to dissuade further issues!
Pops as usual you give us such pleasure from being able to share viewing your terrific bird pics & studies! The swan's feathers on its wings are quite amazing! They look similar to how I imagine the Archangel's wings to be! So that's maybe where Scriptural storybooks got the concept from!! LOL!Jocelyn
