  • Heron Fishing etc

After decorating and getting the house nearer to being ship shape we took some time off here and there to do what we like best - using our cameras. This coming week is a busy one for us as we have a friend from abroad visiting and some flying in from Australia fairly soon. Subject to the weather the Oz visitors might provide us with a some extra clicking.

Wren close to the pond singing the blues - it was a cold evening.

Robin friendly to say the least - a close up.

    Heron with a small catch.

    Heron with a larger fish.

Digesting on the lock gates whilst another passes to his right.

    Another perched awaiting dinner too.

This was a fun set for me. My only wish the heron had been more steady when eating.

Interesting set Barrie, you have some great specimens down on the canal. Beats decorating anyday eh?

I'm so pleased that you guys keep trying to out do each other, that way we get to see some good shots.

So who's going to be the first to get a "Chick Pic"

They're all interesting, all of them fun but the one that really lifts the spirits is that chirpy little Wren belting out its very own version of Old Man River

Number 5 is my fav. I love the setting of the lock gates.
