Nice pix, Mike - especially the daffs which have a nice perspective. The brightness seems to be about right too

There is some vignetting (darkening to the edges) of the frame and I was wondering if you had done that in post processing or if it was a characteristic of the lens you were using? Maybe you used a polarising filter?

      Re: Spring Daffs

      Hi Ian,
The Daffs were taken with my Nikon lit lens, the vignetting is from the lens.
The perspective was attained thanksto the road being slightly lower than the field, I actually found a better shot today in another field down the road where the lines were more phtogenic, stamping on the brakes in a row of fast moving traffic is not really the done thing................not even for a killer shot
      regards
      Mike

There's a layby by a lake where we go and the same gull always patrols the traffic. We nicknamed him 'Gilbert' and the lake is now known as Gilbert's Lake.

He's the boss bird and all the others have to hang back until Gilbert's had first choice of the pickings. A burger van started parking there occasionally and Gilbert is sometimes seen perched on the roof of the van waiting hopefully for a few stray scraps.
