I like that! Clever you for getting the liquid to slope and taking it a stage further to line up the slopes.

    Nice one!

You'll have to do it all again now and include a full and complete reflection so the liquid slopes the opposite way at the bottom of the picci to what it's doing at the top.

I'd never have guessed Photoshop had a part to play. Nifty set up and also nicely lit.

We had an 'animated' discussion here this morning about how you might've done it. My husband suggested it was gel rather than liquid. I told him he was wrong.

Yes no real photo shop used just a few tweaks but as you can see most of it was done in camera. I tried a few shots trust me before I added the water and coloured it. Nice to think that my photo had people thinking how it was done but I hope it did not get to heated

Naah - we just get 'animated' ... then I usually end up having a go at him for cluttering the place up so that I never have any space to play about experimenting with things.

Peter, I wish I had your imagination

Great picture and an automatic POTD selection of course.

                        Inspirational.

I'm always on the lookout for ideas and this one has grabed my attention. My old printer needs the inks refilling so I may have a go at this, but with Cyan, Yellow & Magenta

Thanks for showing us this, and the setup shots.

You should play around more often.
                          Its very thought provoking.

Thank you all for your comments. It was a fun project to do. Not only did I get picture of the day here but this is now my most viewed photo on flickr with over 500 views. It also came joint 3rd at photo club last night in the subject of liquids.

Oh and as for the set up photos I never mind showing them after all it is the only way to learn. I do not see why some people think they have to keep things secret.

Graham give it a go you will have fun trust me . Pops what went wrong ?
