Here's a shot of my friend's classic MG. The 'travel' connection may seem tenuous, but since more of us travel by car than almost any other form of transport, I'm going to stick my neck out with this one...

I see it's Paul's turn to post the Luxor shot...

So I'll go with one I took from the ferry leaving Portsmouth of the Spinnaker Tower - not half so exotic, though!

              Hi all,
Regards to Pediwane. Have had knee replacement so know how he feels. Hope you have a quick recovery.
My entry. Taken from a car window while travelling through the Southern Alps earlier this year.

Here's my entry Peder. Taken on our recent trip to India: a typical scene at a large railway station.

Sorry to hear that you are in a lot of pain Peder but, fingers crossed, the worst of it will subside fairly quickly (or you'll just have to up the pain relief ) It was more than thoughtful that you posted the results so quickly. Time to sit back and get better now!

Well done to Barr1e on taking the number one spot and to Autumn and Rogleale.

Congratulations to Barr1e and Rogleale. I picked out both of those. Excellent choices. Also thanks for choosing mine Pedar.

I hope the pain is decreasing now. It's still early days, but it will all be worth it when you are trotting around in about five weeks, without crutches or stick.

If I remember rightly, you were in hospital on a previous occasion when you were curator. You'll just not have to win any more, it's becoming a habit.

Looking foward to see what you have in store for us Barr1e.

                              Hi Peder -

I hope you are feeling more comfortable now and are making good progress.

At least you should be on your feet by Christmas and be able to join in the festivities.

                              Kindest regards

                              Barrie

                                Oh wow.

                                Thanks Peder.

                                Congratulations Rogleale and Autumn.

So many good entries and a tough one to call - I am really happy and surprised.

At the moment my main computer is in hospital - I believe an update from Bill's company corrupted some drivers and I understand many other machines were affected too.
With luck it should have had a clean install etc and be back tomorrow.
This coupled with a call from our solicitor last friday to say the people who have been interested in our house since the start of the year wished to exchange immediately on the condition we moved out in two weeks' time.
In these times of property being slow to sell we accepted. The only downside is the removers could pack 85% of our household to put in to storage today and tomorrow. The comfort pack left would be dealt with on the day of completion.

                                What a mad world.

I will think of the next theme by tomorrow.

Thanks all for the kind wishes - I have to confess Amsterdam (Anne's birthday pressie) was a photographer's paradise.

                                Regards. Barr1e
