Here's my entry - a huge wave breaking over the jetty in Swanage, Dorset:

What made me press the trigger at that exact moment, is that second earlier, I'd have got a picture of some boring railings and sky, and a second later, I'd have got very, very wet! So it was a case of waiting for a big wave, pressing the shutter and then running very fast in the opposite direction.

Hi guys, thought I'd try and gain access to the internet today from not so sunny downtown Jaipur here in Rajasthan. I have to say that India has to be seen, heard and smelled to be believed - it is truly unbelievable!! Well, thank you to those of you who have entered the comp so far - some great entries. Hope to see some more before "judgement day". I'll try and publish the winner on the 15th if not asap afterwards.

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in announcing the winner but I've only just been able to get internet access now that we are back in Delhi. Thank you for all your entries and you've had me scratching my head in deliberation. The images that have best portrayed what I was looking for are as follows -
