Here is my contribution for Sign of the Times.
'Bangkok Traffic and Transport System', which encompasses a Skywalk from where I took the photo and also the Skytrain Track.
You got wonderful views of Bangkok from this Skytrain. We could then walk on the Skywalk and see even more.

This picture is a picture of a painting on the side of a bus used by a UK company who sell art prints and art posters. They use this bus as an all over advertisement and it is converted as an art gallery and shop.
Not many all over liveried buses about these days.

Winners of the DP Salon Competition #65 - Sign of the Times
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who entered theMike Parr with a great photo of people on the street and a huge sign broadcasting the lastest news. I like this because of the timeliness of the news as well as the seeming disinterest of the people on the street just going about their business.
Gina with a gorgeous photo of a girl in a meadow using a cell phone. The colors, composition and overall look give this image a classic, almost painterly quality.
Stephen with with an incredible photo of wind turbines in a farmland setting. The juxtaposition of the high tech windmills with the farmland really is strking. The image with it's mutted colors, perfect composition and tie-in with the theme clinches the First Place Award.

Wahoo!! many thanks for choosing my picture Philip, and running this Salon. Also congrats to the runners up, Gina and Mike. Have to say I never expected to win, so haven't as yet given a new topic any thought. Will get a new Salon up as soon as I have come up with something suitable.Comment

Congratulations Stephen a well deserved winner. Also Congrats to Gina and Mike. Gina I also thought that your photograph was excellent, it somehow reminded me of The Haywain painting.
What a difficult job you had Philip, but what a good topic. Thanks for running the salon.
Another one that I liked which was very topical was the French Farmers one!
Anyway Stephen, what have you got in store for us?
