Agreed. It's like the earth opened and you can see through to the sky at the other end. It's funky.

I'm confused - didn't each competition used to run for two weeks? Knowing me, I've got that totally wrong though.

The two week thing is just approximate. The curator of any current Salon can decide for themselves how they want to run it, start and finish date etc. The curator's decision is also final. Makes it easier and convenient for the person who is running the Salon.

Fun but also kinda laidback was always the general idea.

Aha, that makes sense! It's a good idea, I'm a bit slow on the uptake and hadn't spotted it before, sorry.

I agree - it's not called "Fortnightly Salon Competition" for nothing.

I thought a couple of days ago "Gosh that 2 weeks has gone quickly." I know I am getting old ... ... ... but hang on ... ... ... I still know what day it is.

I actually thought Barr1e had gone 2 weeks and a day! (Not 1 week and a day)

Re: Fortnightly Salon Competition No. 47: REFLECTIONS

I know the Salon normally runs for a fortnight and when I had the pleasure to run No. 47 had planned to be away on vacation during its second week. Those plans have now changed somewhat as we are now looking after someone who needs a little care at this time.

As I set the date I felt it would not be sensible to extend this competition for a further week.

Thanks Pol for the comments regarding the rules.

                              Regards. Barr1e

My pleasure. Yer doing just fine Barrie.

It's probably an open secret by now that I hate curating Salons myself, dread winning them and always joke that second place is best.

So feel free to call the shots as and when it suits you. We're all just very grateful for you for seting the theme and choosing the winners.
