Quality wise this is not the greatest of photos as it is a scan from an old film neg I took more than 10 years ago in SA but the picture kind of symbolises "living planet" for me with my environmental activist parents perched on the edge of a huge barren planet-like rock (forewarning of what may come if we don't look after the environment) overlooking Langebaan Lagoon soon after the West Coast National Park was opened. This is a wetland conservation area of major importance to the region hosting 55000 species of birds many of them migratory.
