  • Fortnightly Salon Competition No. 28 - MOTHER AND CHILD. (HUMAN OR ANIMAL)

    Fortnightly Salon Competition No. 28.

Peder Winge was the winner of Salon 27 and his chosen theme for the Salon 28 is:

MOTHER AND CHILD. (HUMAN OR ANIMAL)

Please feel free to interperet the subject matter as you wish.

You have until the 1st November to post your entries.

    Here are the rules:

    1) All photographs are to be uploaded to the photo gallery at http://dpnow.com/galleries/
The resulting link generated for the photo will then be pasted into the next available space in the Salon thread.

    2) One entry per user ID only please, which must be the personal work of the entrant.

    3) Entries should be "In line" within the thread (not as links to an image held somewhere else, any external links or photos held anywhere other than the Galleries will be deleted.)

    4) Comments only on entries are welcome within the salon thread itself.

    5) After the close the curator will indicate a winner and a couple of runners up.

    6) The curator's decision is final.

    7) Winners should be offered first refusal to choose the next theme and curate the next salon.

    8. If the winner is unable to curate the next salon the current curator may offer that "honour" to any willing volunteer, possibly the entrant in second or third place.

    9) These rules are to be copied and pasted with a new theme by the new Curator at the top of the new Salon thread with a finish date and time.

    10) As with all photos posted on DPNow, copyright remains with the photographer and DPNow will not use them without permission.

I wanted to re-edit this before entering the comp but the original is on a pc that is not currently up and running. I can't seem to save this image from DPN to my hard drive to edit the contrast. Any help? otherwise this is my entry.

Wow - a speedy response - thank you so much. While I'm on the subject, it seems the gallery options have changed. You used to be able to paste to clipboard for pasting into the forum or salon but it's not there anymore. What's happened?

Aye, those gallery changes aren't all ideal. The gallery software was updated and there were a few new features that aren't so good - so Ian and David will be working gradually at sorting things out to fix some of the less welcome new features.

Rather than trying to delete previous posts in this thread, I shall leave them in situ. This is my entry for the salin not the previous version. Thanks Pol x

Here's a weird question - I'm eight months pregnant - quite obvious by the shape of me, would a self-portrait count? LOL.

Picture of you, ALA Myleen Klass, holding a picture of the scan would be good.
