I thought this was quite tricky, I usually end up with the wrong exposures

              Really? Thank you!

The 10 x 8 print is truly evil.

She doesn't like the print but her husband does so I s'pose that's ok, eh.

Dark side of a mountain. (Robben Island just about visible in top right corner)

                What an inspiring theme.

                  Here's my entry:

This image is from a shoot I did in the studio some time ago and for me the lighting vs. the darkness combine with the model's colouring vs. the crisp whiteness of his shirt to fulfill at least the brief for the salon, if not necessarily the curator's vision

                    Superb work, Tim.

That's a belter to belt all other belters!

Surely as near technical and artistic perfection as it gets imo!

I'm afraid I can only give it eleven out of ten. Nice one Tim.

                            "Excruciating Penance" The Dark Side

                            OK, GO!

Heres my first entry, this is an image fron my trip to the USA last month.
Simple greyscale with minor curve and highlight/shadow correction. (I'm still new to PS).

All I wish I had done here is get a second image of the skylight and merge the two together, would have made a much more whole scene, oh well, impatient girlfriends always break my concentration!!

I was going to choose another photo I took called "The Eye Of God", but it just seemed a little to plain, maybe needs a little more work to bring the detail out.
                            See here:

Paul, in the salon threads we're essentially posting images to be judged only by the appointed curator, so it's not unusual for other members to say little or nothing about the shots we post here. You should not be interpreting any feedback (or lack of it) in this thread, because (a) it's hardly ever indicative of the final outcome, and (b) this is not a critique board.

On this basis, do you wish to submit your intitial bridge shot, or this latest one featuring the plane as your salon entry? Either myself or another admin will delete the one you don't want.
