This little buoy was holding two large boats together and it was all that was stopping the second one from floating away - good job the water wasn't rough!

        Is it tolerance or love?

              Hi Gina,

That's a great capture of a black cat, always very tricky.

No time to think (or do) a lot about this so here's one from the past.

                An example of intolerance.

                  jojo,

I almost missed this Salon as I came back from Easter vacation yesterday afternoon. Though I do have a few photos of this type, so here is one from a parrot cage. Very hard birds to live together and especially in the same cage.

How tolerant have you been this fine and sunny Easter weekend?

                    Kid's pushed their luck?
                    In-law's stretched your patience?
Well, how about the dreaded motorway tailbacks?

Let's see some more entries rolling in, a traditional take or something more "outside of the box"!

Mums are usually tolerant but I think this lady is something special.

Well done Autumn! There were several great photos here, I wouldn't have liked to be responsible for judging them, so well done jojo too!

Well done Jojo on looking after the Salon and choosing a winner. Congrats to Audrey on being the winner, hey thats the second time for you isn't it

Its also worth making the point that the winning photo was taken on a small point and shoot Panasonic FX01, not some fancy expensive dSLR that some seem so inhibited with competing against. The image may have lots of noise but its sharp and well exposed and obviously does the business when it comes to still life. So once again Audrey well done, I was impressed with the shot as soon as I saw it.

Re: Fortnightly Salon Competion (No 14)

Thanks Jojo for running the salon and Congratulations to Roger and Vernon.

I am amazed! I don't know what to say as I found it a really difficult challenge.

Thanks Stephen for your comments, actually it is the third time I have won, but the first time was before we had a prize.

My husband says I can't have another camera to go with the memory card, like I did with the Panasonic

The memory card will be useful because I have just started shooting in RAW with my Fuji S9500 and I keep filling up the compact flash card.

I am so knocked out and surprised with the result that I haven't even thought of anything for the next salon.

                                Give me a few hours.

There were some very good entries.
                                Audrey
