    Re: Salon 258 - LIGHT

Thank you to everyone who entered!

I am pleased that the theme was interpreted with a lot of variety and imagination

Right at the start, Pat got the feel for it with his glowing contr-jour 'wife at sunset' mono shot.

I liked Gez's vibrant waterside scene - definitely all about the light.

Rab's ballet shot showed nicely the foreground daylight tone in contrast to the coldly-lit dancers in the background. His more literal interpretation, with the lampshades, made me smile

Barrie was also right on the money with the flare of the demonstrator, while Garry's ocean liner at night shot made me want to look at cruise holidays (I've never been on a proper cruise - and Julia is keen!)

I like the fairground ride from Caz as it demonstrated the use of low light to blur motion and yet show eye-catching highlights. Her fire-dancers also looked very dramatic (I was going to use the work hot!)

But there is no doubt that Andy comfortably nabbed this salon - in fact both his pictures were great.

Well done Andy - and so the baton goes back to you!

And once again, thank you everyone!

Congratulations to Andy, very well deserved - love that first shot.

And Ian - if you think that fire dancers shot was "hot" you should have seen some of the others, that was quite static! I decided to go with that one, despite having thousands of brightly lit hairy headbangers

I'll think of something over the next couple of days and post it up.

            Good choice, Ian.

I would have picked the same photo.

I particularly enjoyed this theme and the varied entries.

Re cruising. You definitely should take Julia on a cruise. You would love it.
