Re: Salon 258 - LIGHT
Thank you to everyone who entered!
I am pleased that the theme was interpreted with a lot of variety and imagination
Right at the start, Pat got the feel for it with his glowing contr-jour 'wife at sunset' mono shot.
I liked Gez's vibrant waterside scene - definitely all about the light.
Rab's ballet shot showed nicely the foreground daylight tone in contrast to the coldly-lit dancers in the background. His more literal interpretation, with the lampshades, made me smile
Barrie was also right on the money with the flare of the demonstrator, while Garry's ocean liner at night shot made me want to look at cruise holidays
(I've never been on a proper cruise - and Julia is keen!)
I like the fairground ride from Caz as it demonstrated the use of low light to blur motion and yet show eye-catching highlights. Her fire-dancers also looked very dramatic (I was going to use the work hot!)
But there is no doubt that Andy comfortably nabbed this salon - in fact both his pictures were great.
Well done Andy - and so the baton goes back to you!
And once again, thank you everyone!
