    Salon 254 - Christmas

I know it's not original, yes we have done it before but your photos can be original

    1. All photographs are to be uploaded to the photo gallery at http://dpnow.com/galleries/

They can be put in members own gallery if they wish. The resulting link generated for the photo will then be pasted into the next available space in the salon thread. Please keep photos to a maximum of 1000 pixels wide so people can see the whole image without scrolling.

    2. As agreed previously, TWO entries maximum per user ID only please, which must be the personal work of the entrant.

    3. Entries should be ‘in line’ within the thread (not as a link to an image held somewhere else).

    4. Comments on entries are welcome within the salon thread itself.

    5. After the close, the curator will indicate a winner and a couple of runners up.

    6. The curator’s decision is final.

    7. The winner will be invited to choose the next theme and curate the next salon.

    8. If the winner is unable to curate the next salon the current curator may offer that ‘honour’ to any willing volunteer, possibly the entrant in second or third place.

    9. These rules are to be copied and pasted with the new theme by the curator at the top of the new salon thread with a finish date and time.

    10. As with all photos posted on DPNow, copyright remains with the photographer and DPNow will not use them without permission.

The deadline for entries is midnight, 12th December, GMT.

Here's one of my personal favourites:

Good luck everyone - I'm looking forward to sackfuls of seasonal imagery

          Re: Salon 254 - Christmas

This shot is of the youngest of my Canadian grandsons and was taken Christmas morning three years ago. At age 3 he was an accomplished skier but he wanted a snowboard because "Grandpa races on a snowboard". Santa came through and I gave him his first lesson the next day. Last year he repeated in his age group as US National Champion in both ski racing and snowboard racing!

The folks in South Carolina treat Christmas a little differently. That's supposed to be a giant pineapple.

                          Thanks for the Christmas images

It's interesting to see the Christmas spirit Down Under from Rab and I enjoyed Barr1e's creativity. Pat's Christmas pineapple was a new one on me!

But without a doubt I was won over by Andy's Santa ladies at the London Santacon (I'd not heard of it either, Andy)!

Well done, Andy - so now it's back to you!

And as a little incentive, I have a prize to offer the winner of the next Salon, a boxed retail copy of Nero Platinum 2019, which is a feature-packed software bundle full of photography and video editing and management goodies, plus more

Looking forward to your subject choice Andy!
