    OK. The New year is here.............

    ...this gentleman was passing and we stopped him and asked if we could take a picture and in thanks he becomes worthy of an entry.

                        Two of my favourites from last year.

                        First, a quiet moment at one of the weddings I shot. We had planned to go somewhere picturesque in the Water Meadows, but the parking situation at the hotel where the wedding had taken place meant that we'd never have got back in so I took the bride and groom into the library for a few minutes.



                        The other thing I've been doing a lot of is event photography - from equestrian to music. This is Brian, one of the founding members of Diamondhead, a NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) at a festival late last year. There won't be another NWOBHM festival - there aren't enough of the bands left to warrant it.

                              Some fabulous images in this salon, and quite varied in topic, as was the requirement.

                              The standard was very high, and has given me a problem, in choosing a winner.




                              On this occasion, I have picked Ron's Green Parrot.

                              I like the close proximity of the targets, and have always been a sucker for a pretty bird.

                              But all of you could have just as easily have won.
