You have a very good memory. You are quite right. This youngster calmly walked into the house that I was working in, and then stayed with us for ages, as we fed him.

That was in September 2011

Our local fox has had several free meals from us, fortunate for him/her but not our hens!

Of course I don't blame the wiley fox - he/she was simply finding a meal and exploiting weaknesses in the chicken run.

Ours was a youngster. I think he was confused. He was happy to sit with us, and feed from our hands. Perhaps he thought he was a dog

I don't know. He turned up on our last day there.

But he stayed with us long enough for me to photograph him, and for him to follow us into the garden and devour our packed lunches.
