My friend, Bert, who has taught traditional country crafts for many years. Unfortunately you can't see his hand-painted caravan in this shot! Taken at the village fete some years ago, so definitely one from the archives.
In contrast to my first entry from the archives, this one was taken on Friday 24th March. I looked at the music shots in my gallery (there are a few, must clear the early ones out... I've come on a bit since then).
Stevie tours as One Bloke, One Mandolin and he was making his annual visit to the Albion Brewery Bar (Phipps NBC) in Northampton. In fact, the brewery is visible the other side of the glass behind him.
First trip out for my new (to me... ) 24-70 lens: I've got a fair few music gigs and a couple of weddings coming up this year so thought it was time to bite the bullet. The lighting was truly awful - one gobo on the ceiling above, and one spot about 20 feet away which was cycling through the colours. This one was originally dark blue.
