Challenge 156 is "Umbrellas"

We're probably all a bit fed up with using these at the moment but my idea for this came from a couple of pictures I took in London's New Oxford street the other day.





This shop is genuinely old if you read the history.

Any type of brolly will do ie summer,winter,garden,wet dry even cocktail. Lots of possibilities.

I had just bought my Canon Rebel in 2008 and hadn't quite got the hang of proper exposures when I took this shot.

Here we go.

3rd is Ash with Lucy & James. A great happy action picture.

2nd is Rogleale with The Brolly Dance. Great bright colours.

1st is Autumn with Umbrellas, Athabaska Icefields, Canada. A lovely picture, just what I was after.

I like them all and am intrigued by Barr1e's picture, whats going on there!!

I can't believe it. Thanks so much for choosing mine. I must admit it is a favourite and was a grab shot.

We were on a coach tour of the Rockies and a trip to the Athabaska Icefields was included. We had just returned and were about to board our coach when it started to snow - very large flakes. I saw this group of Japanese people walking over the bridge and opening their umbrellas. I took out my tiny film camera and snapped them. I have cropped the photo as there was a gap between the people and there were more with umbrellas in this shot.

Congratulations to Ash and Rogeleale - I also liked the Brolly Dance.

I have a think about a new challenge soon.
