Re: Challenge 153 is 'Shop Window'
Umm, this is tough, especially as i get a warning if I go to this site through the home page (JS:Redirector-BDP [Trj]). Avoids it if I go straight to forums, though.
To the Salon:
I liked the quirky images of many of them, particularly the Gez image of the Simonduti shop with the lone guy who appears to be sitting on his handkerchief; the Sellfridges by Andym, pity the fellow has his back to the camera, and the bad news shot by Vegiosage of the figure hurrying past the closed bank also appeals, although I think I would like it better without any colour at all.
Joint Third place goes to Rogleale's Out of Stock, obviously the good stuff was in the window and was sold the stock seen through the doorway is there in abundance; and Andym's second the Horse, a good capture in difficult circumstances, with the street signs and people not helping the image.
Second is Patmore's Amsterdam shoe shop window, i like the stark simplicity of this one
The winner is Autumn's Hong Kong shop window, the reflections help lift this from the ordinary. I like the fact that all the people appear to be heading away from the Emporio window display!
Well done to Andym for getting two mentions! and over to Autumn for the next Salon.
