Challenge 150 is 'Motion Blur'

There is plenty of information about Motion Blur if you Google. Preferably, I would like to be able to identify the blurred object with the remainder of the image sharp!

I also prefer that it not to be blurred in Photoshop, but if it is done well, I might not know.

I think this qualifies. It was achieved by operating the barrel zoom while the shutter was open.

The participation numbers seem to be dwindling in this long running contest. What are your thoughts on allowing someone to post multiple entries in each contest? Maybe set a limit of three?

That would be Audrey's decision. I suppose it's something each curator could decide for their own Salon. Maybe a maximum of 2 images per entrant sounds okay to me. Whad'ya say, Ian?

Before I read your reply Pol, my thoughts were 2. I am very happy with the entries so far and there are many good ones. I am going to find it difficult to choose a winner anyway.

There have been times in the past when I would like to have entered 2 images.

As this Challenge is well on the way (and some people might not peep back until the last day), I think I will keep it to 1 entry for this Challenge, but I would support multiple entries on future Challenges if Ian thinks it would be OK. My choice would be 2.

As November 5th is not far off, we could always use fireworks to put under some former contenders to see if we could wake them into putting in an entry. That would increase the number.

On the topic of more than 1 image, I think it's a good idea - and as an occasional entrant, here's my offering: on arrival in Tours to visit my son last year we didn't even have time for a cuppa before dashing into town as this lot had followed me down from Paris (and taking not much longer than me, either!) The intention was to have blurred background and sharp riders, but didn't have time to pan!
