    Challenge - No 147 - Cycle/Cycles

I named the Challenge "Bicycles" initially, but changed it to "Cycles" as the cycle does not necessarily have to have 2 wheels. However, it must not be motorized.

Oh Gosh, I have a lot of cycling shots to choose from. Tough decision but I'll go with this one.

I need a few more entries - I've only got 7! That's no competition. Where is everyone? We used to have 30 to 40 entries at one time.

I have several more but the rules only allow one per ID.

Just for you Autumn - I don't have anything that'll compete with some of the great shots on here, so this is a fun entry!

When the crafters were in Northampton's old Fish Market before it was demolished to make way for the new bus station there used to be a monthly Bicycle Bazaar - the idea was to only sell what you could get into a bicycle basket, although the pic shows that they used to spread out a bit!

Patmoore and Kurt are joint 2nd and the winner is ... ... ...

andym for his interesting low-angled shot.

Thanks to all who took place - I wished we had had more entries.

Yours is a lovely shot Kurt - I took one like this a few years ago and then got a bug on my computer and lost 10g of jpgs, including our trip to Holland!

                        Over to you Andy

Thanks Kurt. That's a terrific shot and the mono suits it. I think I was more taken with the view on your entry, it was very pretty and typcal! There is such a lot to see - the girl and boy with panniers and the man with the box on the front. It reminds me of my Youth Hostelling Days, when, with a girl friend, we went YH all over Derbyshire and we were only 15. The same year I cycled up to Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey via an overnight stop at York YHA, with a similar sort of bike to these people. It was about 50 miles from where we lived and it was an August Bank Holiday Saturday Afternoon, throwing it down with rain and my afternoon off. In those days offices were open Saturday mornings!
