    • Post up to 3 images in this thread. You can use the forum attachment system or link from an external website.
    • Any photos must be your own work.
    • Each salon is open for two weeks .
    • The salon curator then chooses three photos from three different contributors in order of his or her personal preference and the one deemed the best endows its owner with the job of curating the next salon, after choosing a new topic.
    • The salon curator doesn't compete but can post some examples, if necessary, to give some inspiration
This should give you plenty of scope and I look forward to seeing loads of entries. Closing Date will be midnight Monday 7th September 2020.
Regards Ron. Live each day as if it was your last. One day you will be right. Down sized to Nikon s7000 compact camera.

Great topic! I spent 3 1/2 years as the morning Weatherman at Channel 8 in Tampa back in the early 70s.

I'll start out with this shot of the aftermath of Hurrican Irene here in Vermont in 2011. The river rerouted and ripped out a huge section of Highway 131.

Our condo building which had water 4' high on the first floor acquired an upside down Subaru.

And finally, this shot I took or an Evil Eye Cloud on the way to Milford Sound on New Zealand's South Island.

Entry 2 - another one from my phone, but more recent. Taken last month as the weather broke and storm season started. By the time those clouds had got about 15 miles east, they'd become a tornado. They don't happen often in England, but that one hit Northampton quite hard.

The mountain behind our house has been enveloped in a solid stratus deck all day. We've never seen this phenomenon before. You can barely make out the ski trails below the clouds.

Well this salon seems to have proved that we are not just fair weather photographers. Lacking a few entries but those entered are super examples of the changing conditions we live in. I personally have been under the weather for the last few weeks so please excuse a short summery of the entry's. I found it very hard to choose a winner as all are winners in their own right. My selection came down to two images that seemed to click with me. Caz entry no2 was a close runner to my finale choice of Barr1es Lighthouse. It leaps off the page against the stormy sky and lighthouses play and important role in saving lives in all weathers. So congratulations to you Barr1e I'm looking forward to seeing what challenge you set us for the next salon.

                      Hi Ron -

The entries were very good and I was surprised the Lighthouse shone through so thanks for making it your choice.

Sorry you have been feeling low and I am hopeful you will be well again soon.

Congratulations Barr1e, well deserved - the minute I saw that lighthouse I thought it was a potential winner.

And thank you to Rodbender for choosing my stormy sky as runner up.

Hope you're beginning to feel better.
