  • DP now salon 270 :-Home Baking/Cooking

As it's something we're all doing quite a lot of at the moment lets try home cooked food.

eg Fresh out of the oven. by Andrew Peter Martin, on Flickr

    This is what you do,
    • Post up to 3 images in this thread. You can use the forum attachment system or link from an external website.
    • Any photos must be your own work.
    • Each salon is open for two weeks .
    • The salon curator then chooses three photos from three different contributors in order of his or her personal preference and the one deemed the best endows its owner with the job of curating the next salon, after choosing a new topic.
    • The salon curator doesn't compete but can post some examples, if necessary, to give some inspiration
The end date is Sunday 24th of May at 24:00

Good luck, make me feel hungry

    All the best

When we visit the UK I always try to have Scotch Eggs at least once. They're hard to come by in the states. While we're on lockdown I decided to try my hand at making them. They're not the easiest recipe I've ever tackled but I'm happy to report they were delicious!

Being on lockdown has given us the opportunity to try new things in the kitchen. This was our first attempt at pretzels.

I don't know if this qualifies as either baking or cooking but it was good! Easter morning we made waffles and washed them down with Mimosas.

One of the "advantages" of being stuck at home is finally cleaning out the pantry. Leftover Halloween M&Ms replaced the chocolate chips.

That REALLY looks good! We're doing so much baking that I'm only a half pound under my all time highest weight. I'd be walking our golf course but it still isn't open.

                    Hi Andy -

I apologise for the lack of an entry - I have been in charge of the kitchen and my past skills of baking something that looks like any of the entries above has deserted me. 🥘

I'm good at decorating the luncheon plate with vegetables, eggs, out of the frozen department dishes etc. Cakes etc a no no.

I hope you and the family are well.

                      Hi Barr1e.

We're all OK, I've been a bit busy today so will sort out a winner tomorrow.

                      Stay safe.

The contest is over but I thought I'd add one more. It's Day 72 of Lockdown.... I've always liked French Onion Soup so yesterday Penny and I created Vermont Onion Soup.

Shame we didn't have a few more, most people must be relying on the supermarket.

I find cooking a great way to relax.

Obviously my joint winners are Pat and Penny. I'll let you decide who posts the next salon.

Sorry I didn't join in on this Salon, Andy.

I just simply didn't have anything that I could show.

Will try to do better next time.

Have to say. I did enjoy looking at the various dishes.

Sorry I realised I should have chosen a winning picture.(been a couple of hectic days).

My fav is Pats onion soup selection but as Penny is in it I'll still let the two of you decide who posts the next challenge.
