DPNow Salon Contest No 267-Up Close

Due to the Virus problem and being advised to stay indoors I have tried to find a challenge we can all attempt from within our homes. Up Close can cover any thing from Pets, Ornaments, Food or even Portraits. Good Luck and do stay safe.

This is what you do,

• Post up to 3 images in this thread. You can use the forum attachment system or link from an external website.
• Any photos must be your own work.
• Each salon is open for two weeks and this one will close on Tuesday 31/03/2020 at 23:59 GMT.
• The salon curator then chooses three photos from three different contributors in order of his or her personal preference and the one deemed the best endows its owner with the job of curating the next salon, after choosing a new topic.
• The salon curator doesn't compete but can post some examples, if necessary, to give some inspiration.

Taken with an 8mm Samyang manual focus fisheye - I've done the occasional "fisheye portrait challenge - do you dare to get this close", and knew that my friend Nikki would be up for it.

The iPhone is a marvelous tool but if you get too close to your subject, I think you're better off with an Android. A friend gave me a couple of clip-on lenses for an iPhone and I was able to grab this Macro shot this morning.

I have been trying to make my mind up as there are three images entered that all deserve to be winners.
Patmoore -Vermont sunflower.
Garry's -Up Close. Dinner and
andym's - ?? don't know what this is.

I have finally chosen Patmoore's Sunflow for its excellen colours and it really looks, well, CLOSEUP. Well done to all and over to you Pat.
