You did Martin and it only required a simple answer. What Tim meant by "Taken Any Time" was that to the viewer there was no indication contained in the image that could be used to date stamp the picture. So you can go shot 24/7 but don't let on.

Thanks for that Ron - its all in the punctuation, isn't English a wonderful language.

Just after taking the Moon shot this evening, I though "Timeless!"

              Re: Fortnightly Salon Competition (No.9)

Thanks to Pol and others for clarifying the "Timeless" theme and how it should be interpreted. It really isn't rocket science and while there's always going to be a degree of perceived ambiguity when interpreting these things, I think it's been made quite clear what is needed

So........"a shot taken especially for this Salon" means just that; an image shot and post-processed between the first and last days of this salon period. I specifically requested that no archived images be used, but I also said that I wouldn't be policing this as such, so it's going to be down to trust

Secondly, the theme. All I'm asking for is a shot which doesn't reveal to the viewer WHEN it was taken, ie. the period or era. It can be taken indoors, outdoors, day or night and be of anything or anyone you choose. In fact the possibilities are only limited by your creativity and imagination, provided the result is a "Timeless" image in which there are no clues as to the precise age of the scene portrayed. It really couldn't be simpler

Now.......stop asking questions and get shooting You have a week left and there's a great prize up for grabs, so let's see some serious effort. If anyone is in any doubt about the criteria for the salon, they should PM me.

Great pic & would make a really romantic photocard for an anniversary! A good fuzzy, warm feeling when I looked at it!

                                Hi Tim
Here's my contribution to the Timeless theme.

I seemed to have caused a bit of a fuss with my question at the weekend. Apologies for any offence I may have caused and good luck with your judging.

                                Best Wishes
                                Martin
