So you are continuously shooting the musicians? That must be challenging.

Thank you for your comments John and Yoshi. Yes, still shooting the bands and currently editing Saturday night's shots. I also had a shoot in the morning, but that was a pre-wedding mee at the venue to scout locations and for posing practice/tuition. It'll all be fine as long as the bride stops talking for 10 seconds so I can get her without her mouth open/pulling a face or whatever!

OK, again only because Madam has demanded more. Had to take one from the gallery as I have had to put my laptop back to factory settings so lost all my pics (thankfully backed up on deskytop and on external drive, unfortunately 3,500 miles away). Add to that rainy season has started with a bang so no contre jour

Taken last week on Copett Hall Beach, Saundersfoot Wales. I got up early and stood in freezing cold sea water to get the shot, which woke me up quickly.

First of all let me thank all you obliging people for making this Salon worth judging.

Contra Jour is our Photo Society's fixed subject for next season so I wanted to see what sort of thing people submitted.

Anyway, I found it really hard to come to a final decision and have changed my mind many times.

However, IN JOINT THIRD PLACE we have:

Ekkl for the dynamic image of the Wheel,
Goatsmilk for Saundersfoot Sunrise - nicely produced with a slow shutter speed I think and worth getting up early to make,

and

Rogleale for his lamps - another strong and unusual image.

In SECOND PLACE - TheBull1875 for his Crane - I really love this image. (Enjoy Vegas)

and

IN FIRST PLACE - John Perriment for his image of Autumn - I like the starlight effect from the sun peeping through the trees.

So, over to you John. Let's see what you have up your sleeve for us and once again, thanks to everyone.

Let's see if we can get this Salon up to speed again. We have sadly lost a couple of photographers during the past year, who would have most certainly entered.
