Many thanks to those who entered, its good to see all the different interpretations:
So in third we have Ekkl, a good capture of the passion of sport

Second we have Thomas, there is definately something in this photo, lets encourage the passion.

And first is wsearfoss. It was the subjects eye contact that did it.

Note to Gina, you nearly had me with the cutest photo I've seen in ages

Thank you Mike, I am totally surprised and shocked by being chosen, after looking at all the great entries I did not expect to be in the top three let alone number one photograph. This phictures is right out of the camera, no PP at all.

This is actually my first time winning a photography contest.

Thank you everyone and thank you Mike. A big special thanks to the subjects in the winning picture Chris and Matt.
