How do I send LR adjusted images to an Online Print Company?

I have just edited 150 images for my friend in Lightroom. I uploaded them to Klick only to find that they were the unedited versions.

I selected all and then exported them to my desk top. I then uploaded the album onto the Klick software, but when the photos opened up, they were the originals, not the edited version.

Can anyone please help me and tell me exactly how it should be done, because I am just guessing.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Audrey, I would guess that like most online printing services, JPEG files would be the most compatible type.

Remember that Lightroom is 'non-destructive', so your original files will always remain unchanged. The changes you make are only realised in an edited file when you export a copy of the image. At that point, all the changes will be made and the result will be a new, modifed file, that is saved where you choose in the export parameters.

So, make your changes, tag the modified images so that they are visible in the Filmstrip, select (highlight) the images you wish to export, use FILE > EXPORT... which will open a window with various options. Enter the folder location to export the images to, choose the colour space (I'd recommend sRGB for online photo printing services), JPEG file type and quality (80% is probably OK), no need to resize to fit, the dpi setting is not important, and that's about it.

The edited images should appear after a few seconds or minutes in the nominated folder and you can upload these to the print service website as usual.
