Precise printing

I need to print 2 photos each for us precisely 50mm square in lightroom 3.

When I set the cells, I get Text underneath giving the Image No.

Can anyone help me? I know I can print them individually through PS3, but the colouring on our faces is too intense. I get a better result in Lightroom.

PS There should be no difference in colour when printing from Lightroom or Photoshop, so something is wrong there. Are you remembering to convert the Lightroom version of your image exported to Photoshop to the correct colour profile?

You are probably right Ian, I have forgotten how to check that they are the same. Can you remind me?

I don't do a lot of printing photos these days and most of the time the colours are adequate, but when printing portraits, it is crucial that they are spot on.

The best way to use an image from Lightroom in Photoshop is to use the Photo drop down menu, then Edit In.... and select Photoshop (I'm assuming Photoshop is installed on the same computer as Lightroom). You will then be presented with some options for rendering the image in Photoshop - I use the option with Render Using Lightroom. You will then get a profile mismatch warning and I'd choose the option to convert to the default profile in Photoshop (for most purposes that would probably be sRGB).
