Synchronising PC and Laptop

I have now managed (after a year)! to see my laptop from my PC and vice versa.

I have also managed to import all my images into LR3 onto my laptop with the adjustments made on the PC.

Last night I was using my laptop to post process some images for a slideshow I have to give shortly, but don't know how to get these adjustment on to my PC.

Can any one help me?

I suppose really I am asking is there a way to synchronise files from the PC to the Laptop and vice versa?

The normal way is to Export as catalogue on your laptop, transfer the resulting folder on the network, then on your desktop and in Lightroom, go Import as catalogue.

I have managed to do it, with difficulty, as everytime I tried to do anything I was told "I didn't have permission!"

Eventually, I made a Collection, right clicked and exported it as a catalogue to a flash drive (it was when I tried to pick it up from the Network, that it wouldn't let me). I then imported the catalogue from the flash drive into my Lightroom Pictures and it opened up on my PC.

A long rambling way round, but I did it. I thought I would just have to press a button and say "Synchronise!"

Thanks anyway Stephen. I must get to grips with these stupid "Permissions". I thought by saying I would "Share" that would have been enough.
