  • Which software for monitor calibration?

It looks like my monitor needs now some calibration. Didn't need before and didn't bother to search for monitor calibration software.
Can anybody insist some freeware software for monitor calibration apart from "Monitor Calibration Wizard"?.

There is no such thing as a free lunch, don't spare on a good monitor calibrator like the Gretagmacbeth EyeOne Display 2, it's worth every penny.
Have tried other cheaper one's on the market, you do get what you pay for, since everything that we do is computer dependent, not having a calibrator is like putting a milk bottle on your expensive camera.

I don't use any software programs, I insert the Adobe 1998rgb dll, and windows to this default. I also set printers ect. to this same default. My Video card allows me to gray scale my monitor, and all other accessories.

Really? A case of ignorance is bliss, perhaps, but if it works for you then good luck to you. I've no idea what the "Adobe 1998rgb dll" might be, and where you insert it, though!

Its just a system32 file. It inserts into the windows program, and makes windows color management default to a better RGB than the one "uncle bill" used.

          It works fine.
