For your information I came across this site today full of photo freeware goodies, some seem a little lightweight but many look to be useful free utilities. Make of it what you will

Re: Photo freeware
There are several programs I am familiar with there, some I still use. Panorama factory V 1.6 was a very capable stitching program, and is no longer available anywhere else as far as I know. Gimp is ok - little like Photo Shop but loosely interfaced, and a little of a hassle. PhotoFiltre is a very good free editor, in fact the best I have seen, you just need to download some of the extra plugins with it.
I down-loaded the NoiseWare program, it looks a lot like Neat Image. The next noisy shot I have I will give it a try, and report back. It has a large variety of preset conditions, but limits you by blocking some filter functions. Which is to be expected, but no worse than the free edition of Neat Image.
All the way around there are some very useful programs there, especially for someone who doesn't want to sink a mint in plugins.Steve40.
