  • Creating HDR Effect with Photoshop Elements

At sunrise this morning I launched the drone to about 250' and pointed the camera toward the sunrise. The Mavic Mini will allow me to change the exposure remotely so I took shots with three extremely different settings.
I then used the Photomerge feature of my old version of Photoshop Elements to blend the three shots together. I'm not real pleased with the outcome but I'll keep at it. Here are the three shots and the final product.

Clever ! Like you say. The end result, may not be perfect. But its getting towards the result that you are looking for,

Question...….Are you able to alter the camera setting from your base at ground level, while the drone is in flight ?

Or do you have to pre set the camera before flying ?

I'm able to change it while it's in flight. With the latest firmware upgrade, I can now do the same thing in video mode.

Next project: Go to Commonwealth Point in our town. It faces the mountain across a valley. I'm thinking of setting up the drone on a fixed platform like a table. And then on tripods setting up my Canon DSLR, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and GoPro Hero8. I'll set them all to Auto and shoot a video of the sunset. Then I'll convert them all to time lapse for about 30 seconds and insert them in quadrants of a video showing the differences. I'm going to wait for a warm evening. Ideally I'd like some clouds to enhance the time lapse effect.
