Adobe Lightroom Beta 4.1

Hi all,
I posted this in another part of the forum, then thought it would be better here.
Does anybody know why I can't download Adobe lightroom beta 4.1,?
I have tried on numerous occasions in the last month and can only down load 6.41 mb of the 11 MB download and then it stops, the resultant download will not then install as there are files missing, Can the prog be e-mailed? or does it have to be downloaded by the person installing it? If it can then I will try to find someone to e-mail it to me.

Where are you downloading from Tinka? Try from HERE I have just re-downloaded it to check the link with no problem. It may be where you tried from of course. Are you using a downloader that re-connects if interrupted?

Yes, no problems for me just now, following the links as prompted from trhe 4.0 upgrade to 4.1 pop-up.

Hi Roger and Ian, Many thanks,
Just followed the link given and got to the Adobe site where I have been trying to get it from, Tried again 2 mins ago got as far as 6.61 MB and stopped again, so no luck this time either, will have a go from my mates computer to see if it is my setup being the problem. Thanks again.

Hi Tinka,
Perhaps your internet provider has a limit on downloads? It is also possible that if the download pauses for some reason, your machine is dropping the connection. If LR isn't released very soon, I'm sure that one of us could burn it to a CD for you.

Out of interest, I uninstalled 4.0, installed 4.1, but it still thinks I need to install to 4.1 and even suggests I'm still running 1.0...

I have version 4 and on checking for updates I was informed that none were available !

Hi Pops,
The update check didn't work for me either, I had to go to Adobe Labs to find it myself.
Just as a matter of interest, the price of LR has been briefly quoted on Amazon.com but was quickly removed. One guy saw $309 and another saw $200 but both gave the availability date as February 19th. Maybe there are going to be different versions and there have been discussions on the Adobe forum site about a discount for recent purchasers of PS CS2, but I don't find that easy to believe.

Many thanks for your help, I have now successfully down loaded the prog useing my friends computer, so it looks like a rebuild and system overhaul on my own computer is called for
