  • LR3 Help needed please!

I use lr3 for most of my image editing, and photoshop for more intensive stuff, in lr3 there is a spot removal tool that works very similar to the healing brush tool in photoshop, select your area and clone it somewhere else(this is fine for blotches or spots but no good for straight lines) but I can't draw or paint with it, am I missing something or is it that lr3 just does not do this function, Im trying to limit my switching between programs to a minimum.
    cheers
    Ash.

Hi Ash, you can't paint a selection or mask in Lightroom for cloning I'm afraid. You can only select a circular area and resize that.

You can paint with the adjustment brush but you can't use it for cloning.

CyberLink PhotoDirector V3, which started off as a Lightroom clone, does have a flexible masking tool that can be used for cloning. See: http://dpnow.com/forum2/blog.php?b=299
