DVD / blu ray slideshow software

can anyone recommend a relatively cheap prog that will allow me to burn photos to a dvd as a slideshow? i've used the one that comes with windows 7, which pretty much does what i want, but is limited in that you cannot define your own chapters. it's a shame as the animated menus are useful.

have used ulead pictureshow v2 in the past, which was perfect as it also allowed you to include the source files if you wanted to. looks dated now though
tried the latest demo download and it falls over on win7 (well, it does on my pc).

i want to be able to create multiple chapters with each chapter being a series of images. i'll also need a fair degree of contol over how the front menu appears (control over background image, font style, wording, placement etc). menu animation isn't a necessity but would be nice.
don't need a multitude of fancy picture effects as a simple cross fade is more than adequate.

if it can create blu-ray's, that'd be even better, but again not a necessity.

any suggestions?

Have you looked at Pro Show Gold? or maybe Pictures to Exe. Not used the latter but PSG is excellent, though not so cheap. You get what you pay for I usually find though

Have a look at PicturestoExe, that is fully featured software makes a slide show just plain or with many special effects and music. Can be save as an independent file and shown on another PC without the need for any software. www.wnsoft.com/

Its a reasonable price and is a lifetime license for all new versions. I am now using my third new version on the old license number.

Its only compatible with Windows machines so I have to use it on a Widows partition on my iMac, however resulting file can be played on either platform.
