  • Vignette control in Elements 8 on Raw files

    I purchased elements 8 so I could open raw's from my d90 without having to convert, however Im starting to find things that are missing compared with cs.
    I dont have cs installed anymore because of a recent pc rebuild so I can not instantly compare, but Im sure I had a vignette option in cs on raw conversion that I don't seem to have in elements, is this just one of the little tweeks that cs offers over elements or am I missing something?
    I understand elements is never going to be as good but the advanced control of cs was far above me thats why I chose to go to elements, alot more user friendly, a simple thing like vignette control on the raw's you would have thought would be a standard thing.

    I dont have elements, I use CS, however, I have never used any Vignette tool.

    I always just select a central circle, then select opposite, feather by 250, then either reduce the brightness, or fill in black with about a 40% opacity.

    Hope that helps;

      Elements only has access to the basic development tab in ACR, CS sees all of the tabs.

      The only way to get to the full power of ACR without buying fill photoshop is to use Lightroom and the elements fot pixel editing.
