    Hello everyone

I have been wanting to have a go at this for a while. I dd try it in the middle of the week but it did not work out to well. So today I made the extra effort and this is what I came up with. The last photo shows my setup. the ruler was used to drop the water onto then focus on that spot.

I think you have some very creditable pictures. I like the last one best, but I would have preferred the all red background as in the previous two. It would make a good abstract picture.

Thank you for showing your set up. I wouldn't have had a clue how to do something like that.

    Well done!

Peter - great stuff and a lot of work has paid off - well done. I really like the mis-shapened one too.

But what went wrong with the kitchen shot? There isn't any black in there at all -

        Nice setup and job Peter!
My only comment is that you have hidden the ruler from the last photo

Oh yes I'm into this type of thing.
I think it was time well spent and I like all three.
They are nicely complimented by your choice of frame colour

            Thanks Guys

I did have fun in the end doing these but as for the water drops that got away well thats another story.

Autumn the reason for the white in the last picture is because the bowl was not full and thats why you can see some of it.

Ian you may have lost me a bit on the black in the kitchen but if you are talking about what I think you are well the salon competition this month is Emotions. Well if you at seen me when that last race was on you would have seen some then I can tell you .

Pops thanks again for that but most of my photos have those types of frames, sometimes black the white or white the black whichever I think is best.

Peter, sorry, I was just teasing as your droplet shots are so carefully produced but the kitchen shot contrast was off - just ignore me

Great shots. I particularly like the 3rd & biggest droplet. I wish I could manage photography like that! (But then again, I wouldn't get any work done!)

Thats ok Ian, it was only taken on a 1 mega pixel camera phone. I just wanted to show how it was done, sometimes its be to see then be told how it was done.

                  Jocelyn Hi

It was nice to be able to have some time with the camera this week as I have been on a week off. Wife at work and the kids in school so loads of time on my hands.

                    Re: Water drops

Here is the last one I will post for now. When I was looking at these in eos viewer I did find the focus spot was more or less where I had wanted it. The thing is its not where the splash is so I will try to see if I can sort that one out next time I have a go with water droplets. Which I hope to do over the next few days But then again its back to work tomorrow so will have to see how much time I have on my hands.
