Re: Some More Photos for Critique

Goeiemiddag Lourens, I'm not so sure where to start here, its sometimes better to post a single photo in the critique forum, especially if they are unrelated as they appear to be.

Also, it really would be better if you were able to post slightly larger versions of the image.

As I see it though, some of these images suffer from 1 or 2 main faults. Firstly they may not have any main subject, foreground interest or anything for the eye to focus on. Secondly, if there is a main subject, for example the cheetah, then its too small, as is the butterfly and the spider.

The bird drinking from the tap has its feet chopped off, a criminal offence for some birders

I was pretty impressed with the first photo you posted of the Kingfisher, because you had got so close to it, you should try the same with these, but also try and make them a little more interesting.

On the upside of course they are pretty well exposed, and potentially you have chosen what could have been interesting subjects.

Now one other thing, it would be nice if you could add a few comments to others photos, so the DPNow community continues to thrive and people are not just taking but giving too Hope you understand what I mean. By the way

Re: Some More Photos for Critique

Thanks Stephen, I actually found these photos in a receicle bin, as this was cropted for a photo album online, however I lost the originals in a pc crash a while ago, Thus the reason for the tiny pics, The reason for the post is to get all this goody Comments from The E-perts. To get a better Shot the the next Time.

I will Def, make use of the Info posted and Show you all my Progress later...

On the Bird, Yeah, that where a Split second Shot, Right After the shot, he Flew, I never had lots of time, and I knew that I will get nailed for it,

Still though, This is the place for Critique, so that is welcomed.

The Butterfly Shot Though, Was one of my Favourate once, because I was playing with DOF. and I think That did work ok... The Camera where on macro Mode so I couldn't get much Closer. This small Pics don't do them Justice...

I'll see if by luck, I can fiind these on a Backed up cd Somewhere ?

      Cheers
