This guy came up within 10 feet as I sat in the shed.

I liked the result but not the string so did my best to remove it along with the food particles around his nose and the branch at top left.

Then went for a head crop

Hi Pops- love the expression on his face....looks as if he is going to pounce like a cat. To tell you the truth though, IMO the string should stay...I think it adds something to the shot....very cute either way

          Superb Pops.

I mentioned in my one of my previous posts about garden visitors that we hadnt had squirells in our garden for ages....well, we had a visitor on Saturday! I am so pleased that the squirells are returning. I have treated them to a packed of Hazel nuts now, so hopefully they will become regulars again.

They are great fun to watch. I have 3 regulars now who visit daily.

Thanks for the comment Dana. I thought the string was a distraction, never thought of it as a prop. You have given me something to think about now.

                Hello Pops,

Lovely shot and I agree with the comments about the string. You've done a great job of cloning too, but the first shot is the best and so clean looking. Wish I had a garden - I live in a first floor maisonette so the best I can expect looking from my windows is an array of discarded crisp and sweet packets or a busy dual carriage way.

Don't get too cold sitting in that shed hun !!

                  Hi Gina,
Strange how everybody seems to like my piece of string
Moved house in July and now have a super large garden. Had it landscaped but very few plants installed yet, but.....3 bird feed stations set up straightaway. I consider myself to be very lucky in having already attracted blue-tits, great-tits, chaffinch, robins, blackbirds, a couple I haven't identified yet and 3 very playful squirrels. I'm just like a kid again

Lovely shot Pops and I think removing the string, which you did ever so well, was a good decision.

                      Hi Pops,
A great image, love the cheeky expression on his face, The original is best in my humble opinion, includeing the string, the close up runs a close second, He appears to be saying " Who Me? I aint done nufin mister". well caught.
