Something Different - Odd!

Passing an idle hour trying to turn a photograph into a woodcut I tried various methods without much success. On the way though I somehow produced this effect, and for me the over-sharpened and over-contrasted boats make an interesting contrast with the cotton woolly clouds.
No layers were involved so now I have to try and find out how I did it!

It's certainly effective, though I would also say it is bordering on being 'harsh'.
