a daytime wedding
a beautiful day
a good looking couple
a golf course reception
in fact i have it all, except...
they don't want to do their portraits until LATER.
later was just after the sun dropped below the horizon.
no i didn't pose her with the back of her hand, she moved.
no veil
iso 800, 1/125 @f4.5
not a competition shot, just another saturday of my life spent.

i have two of these to do saturday. wedding photography is a young person's sport. i like passport photos much better; in and out, delivered and not post produced or even filed, usually cash.

My best beer I ever had was a Molsons Golden in the Top of the Rock Restaurant at the Buttes Hotel Phoenix AZ

The place was packed with wedding parties, they had drunk the place dry and the Molsons was all they had left.

It was served in a frozen British pint mug with a rhime of ice forming on the top. One of the most successful mixing of cultures ever

since most of the professional photographers i know are drunks, it seems appropriate to discuss drink. i would be like "Father Jack" from the Father Ted series, "drink, awh yes...!" make mine Sam Smith Pale Ale please.

back to back weddings yesterday, 14 hour endurance contest. blew a flash tube on a Metz 58AF-1C at the first one. i believe i lost a lens cap at the second. (i carry spares for everything.)
pictures to follow, but for now; coffee and pain relievers...

taken from the first wedding of the day. 90 degrees, a downtown up market reception to go before starting wedding number two.

here's another image from the same wedding. a reception shot during the toast. lighting was a 580EX II on camera set as a master and another off camera set as a slave. ETTL flash was set for average with a 1:2 ratio. most studios prefer a 3:1 in house but i tend to be VERY conservative when i'm at an event with less control.
