Nice capture. For me it is all about the cat and the intesnse expression on that beast. So with that said I felt the picture needed to have less distraction from the cat. The distraction being colour.

I hope you don't mind but I felt a picture would demonstrate more than my words. So your picture converted to b&W with a touch of burn and sharpness.

Technically very good.

BUT:

Just the cat, and nothing but the cat...

Unfortunatly there is that line in the background. If you have another chance to do this shot again, it would be so much better to just have the cat.
