Well done, you have mastered the gallery and include a picture inside your post rather than outside as an attachment.

If the sky was blue on the day you took this, you may find that the water's grey tone is hiding its real blue colour.

Are you using Photoshop at all? If so, try the auto-levels command on the picture and see if it brings skiy blue out of the grey?

      Hi Lourens,
A really lovely image, you can certainly see and take a photograph successfully, the flowers stand out from the background and the reflections are great. would look better if the sky reflection were blue, but a great image anyway.

I actually had a look at your picture in Photoshop and there is less sky blue to be lifted out than I had hoped. Indeed, I wonder if the orignal scene actually had a more green colour in the water too it? Can you remember?

Would you mind if I posted a version of the picture with the colour modified to show what I mean?

          Your photo is good.
Be a little more carefull with the post processing or the software you use for that or the picture compression (I can't possibly know which from all these is the cause).
It has created pixelation in the shadowed parts of the image.

          Regards

Ron - what a fabulous little piece of software along with an extension for Firefox. Fantastic - thank you!

Please do post your version, This was a Cloudy day, the Sky was grey, and the water wasn't blue at all.. Hope this helps. This water "pond" is the same spot where I shot the Kingfisher, and the background on the kingfisher shows how "dull" the sky actually were.

                  Thanks Lou

I am trying to Save up for a SLR, but Camera's in SA are very Expensive.

Hi Lou, I think this is more natural - what do you think?

In this case I used the Levels palette in Photoshop and reduced the intensity of the blue channel. What photo editing software do you use?

I have Photoshop 7, but to be honest, I only use it to resize and Crop, With my photos.

Have never "manipulated" coulours and objects into a photo ?
